The Facilitator

With a back-drop from the theatre and the energy of a musician and public speaker, Rosemary Wallace segued easily into the roles of facilitator, motivator and inquirer, relating to the multi-faceted aspects of Thanatology.

Her focus and passion relating to the problems and benefits associated with the art of communication, particularly in the field of death and dying, led her to study and gain additional academic diplomas in Thanatology, Spiritual Ministry and Eastern-Western Physcology.

Rosemary has trained and studied extensively with the Upledger Institute (US) in CranioSacral Therapy, SomatoEmotional Release and CranioSacral Therapy for Pediatrics; working to augment her understanding of communication via the sense of gentle hands on touch. Her studies are ongoing---

Now as a world traveler, presenter/facilitator, Rosemary’s focus is directed to facilitating the personal empowerment of workshop participants, through the medium of dialog, hands on experience and inquiry, regarding interactions and the relationship between the professional care-giver and the families, friends, significant others of the life threatened person.

Experience

Rosemary Wallace has worked within the Hospice movement for almost 20 years. During this time she has trained many volunteers to work along side professional care-givers, to work as a team in Nursing Homes, Hospice Homes, clinics and schools.

She worked in California, U.S.A., for the Living/Dying Project, training and placing a team of volunteers to work in a busy HIV/AIDS clinic in a large public hospital.

In England, she worked for a prestigious nursing home, placing and training volunteers and working directly with the residents of the nursing home to create and implement care-plans.

In Minsk, Belarus, Rosemary Wallace was privileged to work with staff, families and children associated with care from the Belarusian Children’s Hospice.

At the Prince of Songhkla University, Thailand, Rosemary Wallace facilitated workshops for faculty personnel and for nurses working in the surgical and medical wards of the Songhklarind public hospital.

She is a much requested conference/seminar presenter -  speaker.

Testimonial

On behalf of the staff, the patients and parents of the Belarusian Children’s Hospice, I would like to offer thanks to Rosemary Wallace for her special training program, on CranioSacral Therapy, Thanatology and Self-Understanding.
During these sessions we came to understand that the body has intelligence and that a person has an energy that can be used to relieve psychological and physical pain, by sending love and intention to the body. This method can be used for patients, parents and to all those whom we love.
Seeing Rosemary dealing with children and their parents who are under Hospice care, we understood the real importance and power of touch and of the potential of treating and accessing our patients and their families.
We realize that the sphere of knowledge Rosemary taught us is quite new for Belarus. We would be very glad to see her in our country in future and to take part in CranioSacral training, enabling our staff and any interested people to benefit from the training of CranioSacral Therapy. We would be pleased to receive more information on training programs for Thanatology, CranioSacral Therapy and Self Understanding

With hope for further co-operation.
